HEMTT C-RAM

The HEMTT C-RAM is a mobile, land variant of the Phalanx close in weapons system (CIWS). Just like its identical marine version, the C-RAM is deployed to counter rocket, artillery and mortar attacks on bases and vital locations. Consisting of a swivelling base, radar-guided 20 mm Vulcan cannon mounted on a Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Trucks (HEMTT), the HEMTT C-RAM has been used by the United States Army, both in Iraq and Afghanistan.
