Description

The Leopard II Revolution II main battle tank program is an upgrade armour package to the Leopard 2A4 main battle tank. Developed by Rheinmetall, the first Leopard Revolution tank was first revealed in 2010. Better suited for urban warfare, the new Revolution Leopard benefits from improved overall protection, and is fitted with the new Advanced Modular Armor Protection (AMAP) composite armour package. A complete array of sensors and turret mounted smoke dischargers, in addition to the mine protection package, highly improves the survivability of the tank in modern combat. 

Armed with a 120mm main gun, subsequent versions of the Leopard Revolution are planned to be equipped with a 130mm main gun. A 12.7mm coaxial heavy machine in included in addition to a turret mounted 12.7mm remote control weapon station.
