Soviet T-54 Medium Tank

The Soviet T-54 was the first medium tank developed and introduced to face the Soviet’s adversaries in the 1950s, and later Cold War. Following World War 2, the Soviet T-54’s prototype was completed in 1945. The new T tank eventually became the main tank for the Soviet Army armoured units, Warsaw Pact countries, and various export countries like Egypt, Iraq, Syria, and other delivered countries involved in various conflicts like Lebanon.

The T-54 and its predecessor Soviet T-55 medium tank was the most-produced tank in history, ranging between 96,500 to 100,000 produced units. The T-54/55 series were later replaced with their more advanced siblings such as the T-62, T-64, T-72, T-80 and T-90 tanks.
