The civilian Hummer H1 4×4 off-road vehicle is based on the U.S. military M998 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV; AKA: Humvee). Both versions of the Hummer H1 benefit from the same driving performance and off road capabilities. The civilian Hummer was retrofitted with internal additions to provide a much more comfortable ride.
The vehicle is powered by a GM 6.5L V8 turbo engine and a 4-speed automatic transmission. It has a 4-wheel independent suspension system and a central tire inflation system (CTIS) for different road conditions, with a top speed of 134 km/h.
The 1/24 scale Hummer H1 from Meng depicts a highly detailed replica of this famous 4×4 Off-road vehicle. The model features steerable front wheels, position-able doors and engine hood, a fully detailed engine and transmission assembly, finely detailed interior and seats, and highly detailed rubber wheels. This kit also includes PE parts for the radiator and engine hood intake grills.
