U.S. M151A2 Ford Mutt

The M151A2 Mutt is a 1/4 Ton, 4×4 light utility truck, designed and manufactured by Ford after WW2. Maintaining its size and weight with the same vehicle concept the Mutt benefited from an upgraded suspension system unlike the older rigid, leaf spring WW2 predecessor vehicles.

During its decades long service-life, achieving a longer run than that of the World War 2 & Korean War combined, the Mutt underwent a number of updates and variants. The M151’s integrated, anti side-slope and roll body gave extra space than the cramped prior jeeps.

First put in service in the early 1960s, export Mutts as well as local Mutts were equipped with special weapons systems to be later replaced by the much larger, heavier AM General Humvee.
