Uran-9 Unmanned Ground Combat Vehicle

The Uran-9 is a tracked unmanned combat ground vehicle (UCGV) produced by Kalashnikov Concern, the powerhouse of Russia’s small arms industry. The Uran UCGV was designed as a reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, and a combat unit capable of delivering combined fire support combat via its unmanned crew controller. The UCGV’s battery range can extend up to 3 kms depending on the terrain and climate conditions, with its pre-programmed router obstacle avoiding system.

Armed with a 30 mm 2A72 mod ABM M30-M3 autocannon, the UCGV can haul a various array of anti-air as well as anti-tank armaments along with its remote controller IR sensors, laser range finder, and other detection systems.

First deployed during the Syrian Civil War, the Uran-9’s conflicting combat reports further increased the production output to 342 delivered units, used in Vostok 2018 drills as well as Russia’s 9th of May 2022 Victory Parade.
