Description

The Russian Typhoon VDV K-4386 is a 4×4 mine-protected wheeled armored vehicle designed and manufactured by Remdiesel, a subsidiary of Kamaz. It is the newest member of the Typhoon family of armored vehicles. The Typhoon’s primary role is to support combat and medical missions, transport crew and cargo , and other intense armored offensive missions. The Typhoon is currently undergoing tests to be deployed with Russian Airborne Troops. Equipped with a remote controlled turret, it is armed with a 30 mm autocannon and a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun.

Meng’s latest modern era release of the 1/35 Russian Typhoon VDV consists of 5 light grey plastic sprues, 1 clear sprue, 4 black vinyl tires, one photo etched fret for the engine’s radiator, metal springs and polycaps, and 1 decal sheet. The kit features intricate details both visible on the slide molded body and turret, with no visible sink marks or ejector pins. The kit also features a complete interior including the driver’s compartment with decals for the instrument panel and display screen, six passenger seats in the rear, interior equipment box and the Remote Control Weapon Station (RCWS) control system.

The kit can be build with a fully workable suspension system and steerable front wheels, suitable for a varied terrain diorama setting, with the included metal springs.

2 marking options are included in the kit, one in overall Russian Green and one with the splinter camouflage of sand and black over a green base.
