product description
The ZIL-131V is a tractor unit based on the general purpose 3.5 tonne 6×6 Soviet made army truck. First introduced in 1966, the ZIL-131 was produced by an automobile manufacturer known short for ZIL. The ZIL produced cargo trucks and other variants shared many components with its earlier ZIL-130 predecessor as well as the same equipment as the GAZ-66 and Ural-375D.
Both deployed with either a gasoline or a diesel engine, the ZIL-131 trucks were produced until 2012 when the factory filed for bankruptcy and shut down.
ZIL-131V was manufactured to help in towing and reloading either air to air or air to ground missiles on a special trailer, seen during the late Iraqi regime towing SCUD missiles. Widely deployed across various battlefields and regions, the ZIL-131 still saw extensive combat during the modern Russo-Ukrainian war.
