Sd.Kfz. 7 Late Production w/ 8.8cm FlaK 36/37

The Sd.Kfz. 7, eight-ton half-track vehicle, were deployed throughout World War II. First appearing in 1938, the Sd.Kfz. 7 half track was mainly intended by the German Army, Luftwaffe and Waffen-SS as a heavy off-road prime mover for guns and mortars.

The Sd.Kfz. 7 was capable of carrying gun crews in addition to the various tools, kits, and ammunition with its spacious later-type wooden storage. The prime mover Sd.Kfz. 7 could easily tow main loads up to 8,000 kg in addition to its rear fitted 3450 kg winch, capable of recovering lightly armoured vehicles.

Various versions of the Sd.Kfz. 7 became the basis of self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicles with different flak types in use with later type vehicles with armoured driver’s cabins.
