The Sd.Kfz. 234/3 Schwerer Panzerspähwagen 7.5cm Stummel, German for armoured reconnaissance vehicle, was the third variant of the 8×8 armoured car designed and built in Germany during World War II. Based on its earlier Sd.Kfz. 231/232/233( 8-Rad) successor, the 234/3 was manufactured with an open-topped armoured structure, armed with the shot barreled 7.5 cm K51 L/24 gun, primarily the armament of the early Panzer IV tank.
Equipped with a powered V12 Tatra diesel engine, the Sd.Kfz. 234/4 deployed its previously amassed combat experience in fast-moving, hard-hitting targets during the Wehrmacht’s early invasions of Poland and France, in addition to its various Sd.Kfz. 234 variants.
