Description

The Russian Sa-5 Gammon, S-200 Angara/Vega/Dubna, is a very long range, medium to high altitude surface to air missile (SAM) system designed in the 1960s. The SA-5 was designed to defend large areas from bomber attacks or other strategic aircraft.

Trumpeter‘s SA-5 Gammon consists of 10 grey plastic sprues, 1 slide moulded missile tube, missile tip, launch rail, launch base, and 1 PE fret. The kit also includes a small reference booklet showcasing the SA-5 system in close detail. The kit features crisp bolts details and panel lines on the launcher’s cabin. The 2 piece slide moulded missile, missile body plus tip, is almost 30 cm in length once glued and features crisp cast panel lines, requiring minimum cleanup. The Sam-5 can be built in either the transport or launch mode.
