product description
The KrAZ-260 is a heavy tactical truck developed in the 1970s during the Soviet era, present-day Ukraine. Showing its first debut during a Red Square parade, towing 152-mm2A36 nuclear-capable field guns, the KrAZ-260 was produced as the replacement for its earlier KrAZ-255B sibling for military service only.
The KrAZ-260 featured a turbocharged diesel engine with a new design, capable of carrying heavy loads up to 9 tons. Its turbocharged engine allowed the KrAZ to fully tow heavy loads up to 30 tons, either for air defense systems or tank transport semi-trailers. Various specialized variants were also deployed on the KrAZ-260’s structure such as field cranes, fuel trucks, ferry systems, and bridge laying vehicles.
Visually distinguished with its more angular driver’s cabin, to accommodate the turbocharged engine, the KrAZ-260 was manufactured by a Ukrainian automotive heavy-duty factory during the Soviet era with vehicles still deployed across various armies and nations.
