The RQ-7B Shadow is an American unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) designed for reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition and battle damage assessment. The RQ-7  is equipped with a gimbal-mounted, digitally stabilised, electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) camera which relays real time video to the ground control station (GCS). Launched from a trailer-mounted pneumatic catapult, the UAV is recovered with the aid of arresting gear upon landing.

Mainly used by the United States Army and few other nations, the RQ-7 is still undergoing various modifications and improvements to better carry out tasks in modern combat scenarios.
