The Panzer IV, Pz.Kpfw. IV, is a German medium tank deployed during the Second World War (WW2). Developed during the early 1930s, the Panzerkampwagen IV, German for armoured fighting vehicle, was the second most manufactured fully tracked fighting vehicle with more than 8,500 units of all versions across all combat theaters.
Manned by a crew of 5, the Panzer IV Ausf. F2, later renamed to version G2, was up-gunned with the longer KwK 40 L/43 7.5 cm main gun that was capable of penetrating the Soviet T-34 tanks at ranges of up to 1,200 meters. Maintaining the same chassis, more up armoured and modified Pz.Kpfw. IVs saw extensive combat deployments till the final year of World War 2.
