PLA Type 63 107mm Rocket Launcher

The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Type 63 is a 107mm, towed multiple rocket launcher. Initially manufactured for the PLA in the early 1960s till the 1980s, the launcher was fitted with 12 firing tubes mounted on a single axle carrier with rubber tires. Both rural as well urban fighting conflicts were capable of firing spinning, stabilized 18.8 kilogram rockets with a 1.3 kilogram warhead.

Both former and current operators deployed the Type 63 rocket launcher on multiple conflicts, while being mounted on different kinds of armoured and unarmoured vehicles throughout the years on end Middle Eastern conflicts like Lebanon, and Syria.
