M997 Maxi-Ambulance Humvee

The American M997 MAxi-Ambulance is a member of the Humvee series of vehicles, fitted with an armoured rear mounted compartment for transporting casualties from the battlefield to medical aid stations. Serving as a replacement for various earlier utility and transport vehicles, the MAxi-Ambulance is capable of transporting up to four stretched patients, eight seated, or a combination of both patients in addition to medical personnel, and equipment.  The ambulance’s patient compartment can be heated, ventilated, or air conditioned, depending on environmental conditions.

Primarily used by the United States military, the M997 is also used by numerous export countries such as Lebanon.
