M7A3 BFIST Bradley Fire Support Team Vehicle

The M7A3 BFIST, Bradley Fire Support Team vehicle, is the “Eyes” of the US armed forces artillery units to replace its predecessor M981 fire support team vehicle FISTV based on the older M113 APC.

Based on the M3A2 Bradley chassis, the BFIST maintains improved reliability, availability, maintainability, mobility and survivability. Fitted with the same two-man turret, the M7A3 replaced its TOW launcher for its bulky look, state of-the-art long-range integrated sight unit (ISU) capable of acquiring, identifying, tracking and designating afar targets, in addition to dismounted observers’ equipment. Manned by a crew of 4, the BFIST is armed with one 25 mm M242 Chain Gun, in addition to its M240C 7.62mm coaxial machine gun.
