Description
The M2A4 Bradley is an upgraded version of the American M2 infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) manufactured by BAE Systems Land & Armaments. The Bradley’s main role is to provide reconnaissance and safely transport six fully equipped soldiers, while providing firepower to both suppress and eliminate battlefield threats. Designed to be highly manoeuvrable and fast, the M2 Bradley is capable of keeping up with heavy armour units during an advance. The Bradley proved to be an essential workhorse with recently fielded enhanced M2A4 units as well as Short Range Air Defense (SHORAD) variants, equipped with the Iron Fist protection system.
Manned by a crew of three, the M2 Bradley is armed with a 25 mm M242 chain gun, as well as 2 × TOW anti-tank missile launchers.
