M1128 MGS Stryker After 2010 w/ MILES

The M1128 mobile gun system (MGS) is an assault gun of the Stryker family eight wheeled vehicle, deployed by the United States’ Army. Based on the Canadian LAV III, light-armored vehicle, the MGS was manufactured to replace the aging M551 Sheridan light tank as a more rapidly deployable, air-droppable, sustainable needed fighting vehicle.

Later versions of the MGS were retrofitted with an air conditioning (A/C) unit replacing the primarily designed crews’ cooling vests. The right sided external A/C solved the vehicle’s over heating computers regularly on warmer climates deployments.

Manned by a crew of 3, the M1128 MGS is armed with an auto loaded, revolving 18-round 105 mm main gun barrel capable of firing a range of ammunition type, against both armoured and soft armoured vehicles, anti-personnel fragmentation, as well as bunkers. The MGS is also equipped with a 7.62 mm caliber M240 machine gun, and a turret mounted M2 Browning 12.7 mm for the commander.
