Description
The German Leopard 2A8 is the latest upgraded version of the revered German Leopard 2 main battle tank. Based on the Leopard 2A7, the upgraded tank received a number of improvements including the integration of the Trophy active protection system (APS), an all-round situational awareness system, in addition with the latest generation modular and belly armour.
Manned by a crew of 4, the 2A8 is armed with the Rh-120 L/55 120-mm smoothbore gun by the Rheinmetall, along a .50 Cal turret mounted remote control weapon station.
