The Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0 4th Generation is a German made main battle tank (MBT) based on its 3rd generation predecessor Leopard 2. Unveiled in June 2024, Eurosatory exhibition, the Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0 is fitted with a remote controlled, unmanned turret.
Downsizing its crew to 3, driver, gunner, and commander, the Leopard A-RC 3.0 is armed with an autoloaded, smoothbore main gun. The newly designed turret can be revamped to fit either a 120 or 140 mm main gun barrel capable of loading 3 rounds in 10 seconds. The new turret also exhibited a mounted 30mm Remote Controlled Weapons Station (RCWS) capable of countering drones and anti-tank missiles.
Enhanced armour packages were fitted on the Leopard 2 A-RC 3.0’s lower chassis in addition to the newly designed turret’s proven active protection system and smoke dischargers.
