product description

The Mercedes L1500A, Kfz. 70, was a German light truck produced by Daimler-Benz during World War II. Derived from its light truck original design, the Kfz.70 was classified as the same as the Steyr and Horch 1500 deployed vehicles, with either a 4×4 or a 4×2 configuration.

Designated as a personnel and troop transport vehicle, around 5,000 units were built between 1941 and 1944. The Mercedes L1500A typically accommodated a driver, a commander, and six enlisted personnel on rear benches with an equipped retractable canvas cover.

The Kfz variants were heavily used in World War II, powered by its R6 gasoline engine deployed across nearly all major theaters of World War II, as radio cars, ambulances, and towing anti-tank guns.
