Description
The KET-T is a heavy recovery vehicle, based on the MAZ-537 8×8 heavy high mobility vehicle. Fitted with special recovery equipment, the KET entered and is still in service with the Soviet Army since the 1960s. The vehicle’s main role is to provide maintenance, tow and recover damaged or stuck 8×8 military vehicles. The KET-T is fitted with a recovery winch mounted on a special frame capable of lifting disabled vehicles onto a special towing bar, with the aid of two stabilising hydraulic jacks.
