product description
The Kübelwagen Type 82/3, German for tub-car, is a mock-up, armoured scout car manufactured during World War II. Known as “Panzerattrape”, a dummy tank, the 82/3 was heavily based on the Volkswagen Beetle designed by Ferdinand Porsche. Modified for its 4 seated arrangement transport role, the Panzerattrape was manufactured to mimic a Panzer 1 tank’s shape as a decoy against hostile forces. The Kübel 82/3 also doubled as a training for Panzer 1 crew, with removable side fake tracks bulges.
The armoured Kübelwagen Type 82/3’s newly designed armoured hull was roof mounted with a rotatable machine gun turret, with entry and exit only through the turret’s big hatch just like the Panzer 1 tank turret.
