product description
The Crusader Mk.III was an upgunned version of the British primary cruiser tank during World War 2. Though considered as maneuverable and lightly armoured once produced, the Crusader tank saw active service in harsh Africa conditions contributing to victories during the North African campaign. Being replaced against the up armoured and upgunned German tanks, later Crusaders were modified to fit various roles such as anti-aircraft, fire support, observation vehicles and others.
Manned by a reduced crew of 3, the Crusader Mk.III tank was armed with a bigger 57 mm Ordnance QF 6-pounder gun, along with a coaxial Besa machine gun in its bolted turret. The 7.92mm Besa machine gun was removed entirely.
