Crusader Mk.II British Cruiser Tank

The Crusader Mk.II was one of the upgraded, primary British cruiser tanks during the early years of World War 2. Though considered as maneuverable and lightly armoured once produced, the Crusader tank saw active service in harsh Africa conditions contributing to victories during the North African campaign. Being replaced against the uparmoured and upgunned German tanks, later Crusaders were modified to fit various roles such as anti-aircraft, fire support, observation vehicles and others.

Manned by a crew of 4, the Crusader tank was armed with a 40 mm Ordnance QF 2-pounder gun, along with a coaxial Besa machine gun in its bolted turret and a hull mounted auxiliary turret with the 7.92mm Besa machine gun.
