AAVP-7A1 w/ UWGS Assault Amphibious Vehicle Personnel

The AAVP-7A1 Assault Amphibious Vehicle Personnel is an upgraded, fully tracked amphibious landing vehicle. Based on its former predecessor LVTP-7 Landing Vehicle, Tracked, Personnel vehicle, The AAVP-7A1 was the most common amphibious vehicle with its modern head lights, float bow plane. and a Cadillac Cage Up-Gunned Weapon Station turret (UGWS). The upgraded turret carried a 12.7 mm .50 caliber heavy machine gun, in addition to a belt fed Mk19 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.

Carrying a crew of 4 in addition to 21 combat equipped Marines, the AMTRAC was deployed to land a force on hostile beaches and fronts from assault ships, along with their equipment in a single lift. Upgraded AAVPs saw later extensive deployments in various conflicts like the 1991 Gulf War and 2001 Iraq War, Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).
