The AAVP-7A1 EAAK Assault Amphibious Vehicle Personnel is an uparmored, fully tracked amphibious landing vehicle. Featring its same AAVP-7A1 version, the deployed AMTRACS featured an upgraded engine along with its Enhanced Applique Armour (EAAK), and float bow plane. The AAVP EAAK was the most deployed amphibious vehicle in recent conflicts. Armed with a Cadillac Cage Up-Gunned Weapon Station turret (UGWS). The turret carried a 12.7 mm .50 caliber heavy machine gun, in addition to a belt fed Mk19 40 mm automatic grenade launcher.
Carrying a crew of 4 in addition to 21 combat equipped Marines, the AAVP-7A1 EAAK was deployed to land a force on hostile beaches and fronts from assault ships, along with their equipment in a single lift. Up armoured AAVPs saw extensive deployments in 2001 Iraq War, Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF).
